Lindenwood Football Tickets
Great college football programs can come in all shapes and sizes. Just look at the Lindenwood Lions, who have only been playing football since 1990. As a Division II program, cheap Lindenwood football tickets are easy to find. But that just means that seeing the Lions in person is a great value for any football fan. Despite playing at a lower level, the Lions have made their mark on the college football world and even produced a few NFL players. There’s no question that brighter days are ahead for the program, which means last-minute Lindenwood football tickets will soon be a hot commodity.
Getting Started
Lindenwood football played its first season in 1990, playing four seasons as an NAIA independent before joining the Mid-States Football Association in 1994. The Lions took their first meaningful step forward in 1998, playing in the NAIA playoffs for the first time. Of course, things really picked up in 2004 when Patrick Ross came aboard as head coach. In his first seven years at Lindenwood, Ross led the Lions to three conference titles and five playoff appearances, including a run to the NAIA championship game in 2009 when the Lions lost their first game of the season to Sioux Falls.
The Next Step
Ross was also at the helm when Lindenwood joined the NCAA at the Division II level in 2012. Of course, there were growing pains for the Lions against a higher level of competition. But head coach Jed Stugart got the program back on track in 2019, leading Lindenwood to a Great Lakes Valley Conference championship and the Second Round of the Division II playoffs. It was a huge step forward for the Lions and a sign that bigger and better things await Lindenwood in the future.
