Without question, the North Carolina A&T Aggies are one of the college football programs at the FCS level that are worth watching closely nowadays. Rising to the Top

North Carolina A&T has been playing football since 1901, with success being sporadic for much of that time. However, the Aggies started strutting their stuff in the 1990s, winning three MEAC titles and two Black college national championships under coach William Hayes during that time. The Big Move

The success of North Carolina A&T in the 2010s has allowed the Aggies to move up the college football hierarchy. In 2021, the Aggies played in the Big South, only to pivot quickly and join the Colonial Athletic Association, joining Hampton as the only two HBCU programs in the conference. While the move has taken the Aggies away from some of their historic rivals, it has positioned North Carolina A&T to reach another level on the field and become one of the top FCS programs in the country, not just one of the best HBCU programs.
