Colorado State Football Tickets
While the Mountain Time Zone is often forgotten or overlooked, the Colorado State Rams are one college football program that should not be. Traditionally, the Rams have struggled to maintain consistent success, which has made cheap Colorado State football tickets easy to find. However, the Rams have settled in the Mountain West Conference and are on their way to becoming one of the league’s perennial contenders. Plus, with one of the newest stadiums in the country, the demand in last-minute CSU football tickets is on the rise, much like the program itself.
The Sonny Rises
After years of toiling in mediocrity, Colorado State football finally started to gain traction under head coach Sonny Lubick. In 1994, just Lubick’s second season at the helm, the Rams won the WAC championship and finished the season in the top-25. That season kicked off an incredible run by CSU in which the Rams won six conference titles in nine seasons. That stretch also saw CSU finish the season in the top-25 three times, a rare accomplishment for teams outside the power conferences.
Climbing the Mountain
Lubick’s tenure at Colorado State also saw the Rams move from the WAC to the Mountain West Conference. They won the conference title three times in their first four seasons in their new conference. Unfortunately, things went south for the Rams toward the end of Lubick’s time in Fort Collins. However, CSU began to ascend to the top of the Mountain West under Jim McElwain, who led the Rams to 10 wins in 2014. McElwain laid down a strong foundation for the Rams, setting the stage for Colorado State to remain at the top of the Mountain West. In 2020, the Rams found an accomplished head coach in Steve Addazio to take over the program and take Colorado State to the next level.
