About the Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams Tickets

There are few teams in the NFL that have a more complicated history than the Los Angeles Rams. The franchise spans over 80 years and three different cities, including multiple stops in the City of Angels. It’s been a long, strange trip for the Rams, but there's been plenty of wins along the way.

The Early Days

The Rams got their start in Cleveland, playing their first season in 1936. They got their name because co-founder Damon Wetzel’s favorite college team was the Fordham University Rams. After winning their first NFL championship in 1945, the team took off for Los Angeles, which became their home until 1994.

Some of the Greats

Over the years, some of the NFL's all-time greats have suited up for the Rams, particularly during the '60s, '70s, and '80s. Defensive end Deacon Jones spent 11 seasons with the team, including some of his best years. On the other side of the ball, running back Eric Dickerson spent the first five years of his career with the Rams, including the 1984 season when he set an NFL record with 2,105 rushing yards in a single season. Alas, it wasn’t enough to deliver a Super Bowl win to the Rams.

The St. Louis Years

After failing to secure a new stadium, the Rams picked up and moved to St. Louis in 1995. In their fifth season after the move, Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk delivered to St. Louis what the Rams could never do in Los Angeles: a Super Bowl win. The Rams came painfully close to winning another Super Bowl two years later but just missed their shot. Things soon turned south for the franchise, though, as the Rams failed to make the playoffs in their last 11 seasons in St. Louis.

Return to L.A.

Twenty-one years in St. Louis appeared to be enough, as the Rams headed back to Los Angeles following the 2015 season. The team’s first year back in La La Land was tough, but with back-to-back division titles in 2017 and 2018 and a run to the Super Bowl in 2018, the new-old fan base should be excited about the Rams' future in LA.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the Rams play?

Since their return to Los Angeles in 2016, the Rams have played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Coliseum is one of the oldest and most historic stadiums in the country. It hosted the Rams during most of their previous stint in Los Angeles and has been the home of USC football games since 1923. However, starting in 2020, the Rams will move into a new stadium in Inglewood, California that they'll share with the Chargers.

When do Rams tickets go on sale?

Rams tickets go on sale before the NFL begins its regular season. In fact, cheap LA Rams tickets to games played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum are available months in advance, as are Rams tickets for away games. In other words, there’s no rush to check the Los Angeles Rams’ schedule. Just grab tickets whenever you’ve got the itch.
