Motionless in White
Who would have ever guessed that one of the great metal bands of the 21st century would come out of a place like Scranton, Pennsylvania? But that’s exactly what happened with the band Motionless in White. Since first forming in 2004, MIW has slowly but surely built up the kind of following that allows the band to play in front of packed crowds in all corners of the world. Even amidst a series of lineup changes, lead singer Chris Cerulli has managed to keep the group together in some form or another. Motionless in White has found new ways to grow and expand creatively with each studio album while touring endlessly, delivering their unique brand of metal to audiences in person, which is exactly how heavy metal is meant to be enjoyed.
Something A Little Different
Motionless in White certainly hasn’t followed the mold of what fans expect from metal bands. They’ve been influenced by a wide array of other bands and styles, with some referring to their unique sound as “horror-metal,” which the band surely takes as a compliment. MIW loves to use multiple guitars and complex riffs to create a sound that few bands are able to replicate. At the same time, Motionless in White likes to incorporate synthesizer sounds to complement songs that are heavy on guitar and give their fans something special and unexpected.
Asking for More
For fans of Motionless in White, concerts never seem to last long enough. No matter how long the band plays, fans always want a little more. It’s in part because MIW has created a huge catalog of songs over several albums, so there is never a shortage of songs that fans want to hear. But it’s also because Cerulli has a voice that was made to sing heavy metal songs in person. He belts out lyrics with great passion and has a stage presence most frontmen dream of replicating. On top of that, Motionless in White creates an atmosphere during its concerts using lights, pyrotechnics, and its music to create an experience for fans that leaves a lasting impression and makes them wish the performance could go on forever.
