Oregon Football Tickets

It’s amazing how quickly a football program can turn around with the right coach. The Oregon Ducks are one of the best examples of that. For long stretches of their history, cheap Oregon football tickets were easy to get. But when Chip Kelly became the coach, the Ducks became a national power almost overnight. Other coaches have been able to keep the Ducks in the spotlight, and now last-minute Oregon football tickets are a hot commodity.

Occasional Quacks

Oregon has bee playing football since 1894 but only occasionally experienced success during its first century of play. From 1894 to 1994, the Ducks won just five conference championships. The 1994 season ended an 18-year tenure for head coach Rich Brooks, who led Oregon to its first conference title and Rose Bowl appearance since 1957 in his final season, setting the stage for a brighter future.

Ducks Take Flight

When Brooks left Oregon after the 1994 season, he passed the torch to offensive coordinator Mike Bellotti, who took the Ducks to bowl games in 12 of his 14 seasons, including four BCS bowls. But it was Chip Kelly who took Oregon to the next level. In his four seasons, Kelly compiled a record of 46-7 and winning three conference titles. Kelly also took the Ducks to the National Championship Game in 2010, a feat replicated in 2014, under Mark Helfrich, who was Kelly’s successor.

Between 2010 and 2014, Oregon finished the season in the top-10 every year, including four finishes in the top-5. Despite a few down years, the Ducks reemerged on the national stage in 2019 under Mario Cristobal, winning both the Pac-12 championship and the Rose Bowl, solidifying Oregon as one of the best football programs on the West Coast.
