However, hope arrived in 2019 in the form of coaching legend Les Miles. With a resume that includes a national championship at LSU and success inside the Big 12 at Oklahoma State, Miles is viewed as the savior of Kansas football. While the Jayhawks won just three games in his first season, Kansas showed more fight and grit under Miles than they showed in any coach since Mangino. It was a clear sign that Miles might be the person that can make Kansas football relevant again.
