Hawaii Football Tickets
Hawaii may be the 50th state and located an ocean away, but the people there still embrace college football just as much as the folks on the mainland. It’s always been difficult to find cheap Hawaii football tickets, largely because there aren’t that many high-level sporting events on the islands. That being said, the Rainbow Warriors are accustomed to fielding competitive teams, forging bitter rivalries, and playing in bowl games. With the program once again on the upswing, last-minute Hawaii football tickets are as difficult to find as they’ve ever been.
Indie Hit
The Rainbow Warriors have been playing college football since 1909, 50 years before Hawaii gained statehood. During that time, the program was one of the most underrated in college football because it was an independent program and geographically. Coaches like Otto Klum and Tom Kaulukukui regularly took the Rainbow Warriors to bowl games, helping to build a loyal fanbase and a proud tradition for Hawaii football.
Run and Shoot Fun
During the first part of the 21st century, Hawaii finally started to gain national recognition under head coach June Jones. Behind his patented run and shoot offense, Jones led the Rainbow Warriors to the WAC championship in his first season as head coach in 1999. It was just the second conference title in program history and set the foundation for bigger things. At the end of Jones’ tenures, Hawaii went 11-3 in 2006 and then finished 12-0 during the 2007 regular season to win another WAC championship and earn an invitation to the Sugar Bowl.
Climb the Mountain
In recent years, the Rainbow Warriors have once again become one of the best mid-major programs in college football. After a dark period, head coach Nick Rolovich rebuilt the program, ultimately taking Hawaii to the Mountain West Championship Game in 2019. Despite leaving Hawaii after that season, he laid the foundation for the Rainbow Warriors to achieve sustained success in the year to come.
