Jersey Boys Tickets
When you think Broadway, you almost always think of music. Sure, there’s always award-winning drama, but let’s be honest: if you’re going to a Broadway show, you’re ready for some kickin’ tunes. That’s exactly what the “jukebox musical” Jersey Boys delivers, time and again, with every show, thanks to the iconic tunes it relies upon to tell its story.
Spirit of the Sixties
Unlike many Broadway musicals, Jersey Boys isn’t a completely fictitious story. Instead, it’s a documentary-style look at the formation, rise, and eventual breakup of The Four Seasons, the iconic rock and roll group that helped Frankie Valli rise to fame. The creator of Jersey Boys is none other than Four Seasons co-founder Bob Gaudio, and the actors in the show all play their real-world counterparts as the action unfolds across the years.
The real star of the show, however, is the music. From 1962 on, the group has been responsible for uncountable Top 40 hits including, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like a Man, Working My Way Back to You, Oh What a Night, and countless others. These tunes are performed perfectly in the show, interwoven with the story of the Four Seasons, making it as entertaining as possible – and all thanks to Gaudio’s involvement in telling the true story of these four guys from New Jersey who knew how to sing.
A Piece of Broadway History
Jersey Boys is more than just a fun stage show – it’s a piece of Broadway history! First hitting the stage in 2005, it ran for more than 10 years before closing its doors in 2017. But don’t worry – if you didn’t get a chance to see it on Broadway, productions of Jersey Boys have been touring, both across the country and the world, since 2011.
