Wildly popular rapper, producer, and music video director Tyler, the Creator is no stranger to controversy. With his rough and raw lyrics powering both his time as part of the group Odd Future and his time as a solo artist, he’s become known for his pull-no-punches, gives-no-crap attitude that has, literally, gotten himself banned from an entire country. That’s right – for a while, he wasn’t allowed inside the United Kingdom.

A Multiple Mega-Threat

Teaching himself to play piano by the age of 14, and throwing in with the other founders of Odd Future just a few years later in 2007, opened all sorts of doors for Tyler, the Creator.

And true to his name he began not just working on Odd Future lyrics but releasing his own solo mixtapes, working on music videos, starring in and producing a sketch comedy show on Adult Swim with the rest of the Odd Future boys, and doing guest shots on a dozen other television shows as well.

We don’t know what race against time that Tyler, the Creator is running, but at this point, he’s clearly winning. Building himself a multimedia empire by the time you’re 30 years old is one hell of an accomplishment, especially when he’s still writing, producing, and releasing music constantly.
