Incubus Tickets
Longevity can be vastly underrated in the music industry, and Incubus is one band that has proven its longevity. For roughly 30 years, the rockers from Calabasas, California, have churned out mainstream hits while also building a massive cult following. The core of the band has stayed together since the band was founded in 1991, enabling Incubus to experiment with almost every type of music under the sun. Incubus has fused rock, metal, funk, techno, electric, hip hop, and more to create a truly unique sound and one of the most captivating live performances anywhere in the music industry.
Familiar Tale
In a lot of ways, Incubus has a story much like a lot of other bands, most of which don’t make it. They first formed while still in high school and spent their early days playing shows on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. However, despite being brought along as the opening act for some bigger bands, Incubus struggled to generate much interest. The band’s first two albums didn’t produce any hits and have been largely forgotten. But that started to change Incubus released its third album Make Yourself in 1999. With breakout songs like “Pardon Me” and “Drive,” the album quite literally made Incubus a household name and is considered one of the best rock albums of the late 90s.
Part Two
After releasing Make Yourself in 1999, the hits kept on coming for Incubus. The band’s follow-up album Morning View produced a few more hits, cementing Incubus as one of the biggest bands in rock music. Each new album seemed to bring a new sound that fans never heard before. For the most part, the hits kept on coming until 2008 when Incubus decided to take a hiatus from music. Fortunately, Incubus would eventually return from their hiatus and continue to reinvent themselves with new sounds that fused several genres of music. The next decade brought more new music and more touring, essentially beginning the second part of their career. Even with three decades of music under their belt, Incubus remains one of the most inventive bands around and one of the most entertaining acts in the music industry to see live.
