Breaking Benjamin Tickets
What do you get when you cross the 2000s alt-rock with classic metal bands like Korn? Rock Korn. Just kidding, the correct answer is Breaking Benjamin. The mid-2000s band that started in a small town in Pennsylvania and now has more than ten albums.
The journey to success hasn’t always been a smooth one for the band, and that’s a good thing – they wouldn’t be successful if you couldn’t hear some sort of pain in their music. And while they’ve changed lineups multiple times and had members drop out of the band, they decided to come back together in 2015 for good (we hope).
Before Breaking Benjamin
The two main members of Breaking Benjamin weren’t new to making music. Aaron Fink and Mark Klepacki were first in a band called Lifer, but things didn’t work out. After leaving Lifer, they joined up with Benjamin Burnley and Jeremy Hummel, to officially become the band you know them as today.
And as that fledgling band, they played wherever they could around their hometown. They played and played until they caught the attention of a local radio host, who liked them enough to put one of their singles on the radio. That single, Polyamorous, helped them gain enough confidence to record their EP.
Breaking Through
That EP landed them a deal with Hollywood Records, who thought the alt-rock and the pop-rock market could use some edge at the time. They were right. The band’s first album, Saturate, did well for a debut and landed them a spot touring with Evanescence. Three of the singles got on the rock charts, ranking in the top 3. All that was way back in 2002. Now instead of opening for bands, they’re playing their own arenas, selecting openers who need a push to success, just like they did back in the day.
