About Calibash

Calibash Tickets

There seems to be a music festival at least every month this year, but only one of them is specific to Latin music. Sometimes called the Calibash of the Latin music world, Calibash brings some culture to the music festival scene.

Los Angeles radio station Mega 96.3 FM, the Spanish Broadcasting System, and LaMusica App come together each year (for the last 10+ years) to put on this awesome show. The concert itself has seen artists like Karol G, Jennifer Lopez, and Bad Bunny – just to name a few. And the best part is? It’s more affordable than those other festivals where no one is speaking (or singing) a word of Spanish!

Ten Plus Years Strong

Calibash started in 2007. It started in small venues, but now regularly sells out the Staples Center, like it did in 2016, one of Latin music’s biggest crossover years. That was the year that Daddy Yankee and Justin Beiber put out the hit song “Despacito”, and Yankee surprised everyone by inviting Bieber to perform it with him on stage. The next year – the concert’s 10th anniversary, had J-Lo as the headliner and even up-and-coming (and Spanish-speaking!) star Cardi-B as a guest performer.

Calibash Tickets This Year

The concert is famously close-lipped about its performers until they’re ready to announce, usually a few months before the concert. That doesn’t mean you should wait to get tickets, though, because if you wait too long, it will sell out! Taking a chance on the performers is worth it because Calibash never disappoints.
