Skillet Tickets
It’s become rare in the music industry to see husbands and wives perform together. It’s even rarer to find a husband and wife pair making up half of a four-piece band. But that’s just one of the reasons why Christian rock band Skillet is special. Of course, things didn’t start out that way, but when bands are together for over a quarter-century, there are bound to be lineup changes. When founding member John Cooper needed to replace a couple of departed members, he made his wife Korey Cooper a part of Skillet. Together with Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison, the Coopers lead one of the most established and well-known Christian rock bands, not to mention one of the most unique for fans of the genre to see perform live.
Roll-On
Despite some line-up changes along the way, Skillet just keeps rolling on, releasing one album after another, including a couple of albums that warranted a Grammy nomination. More importantly, they are always finding ways to be one of the most creative and unique bands of the Christian rock genre. The band combines spirituality with hard rock, metal, and grunge influences better than most Christian-based bands could ever dream of pulling off. There are elements of metal and alternative rock in everything they do, as well as a tinge of electronic mixed into the hard rock. Naturally, new bad members have brought new influences and new sounds to the group over the years. But because John Cooper has been the lead vocalist and driving force of Skillet from the start, the band has never wavered too far from its Christian rock roots, which has helped them maintain a loyal fanbase over many years.
Always on the Move
If there’s one thing that’s always been true about Skillet since the beginning, it’s that they love touring and performing live. Skillet has long been considered one of the hardest working bands of any genre. In fact, they will tour with bands of any genre, not just other Christian rock bands. In the past, Skillet has toured with the likes of Three Days Grace, Seether, Puddle of Mud, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Stone Sour, Nickleback, Korn, Sevendust, and countless others. For fans of Skillet, you never know when and where they’ll pop up next, creating plenty of opportunities to see them perform.
