Adrián Uribe Tickets
Some people are born to act and make people laugh. Their parents know who they are long before they’re in the public eye. Ask any famous singer, comedian, or actors’ parents, and they’ll tell you that their child was always seeking a stage. The same is true about Adrián García Uribe, we assume, though we haven’t had the chance to clarify it with his parents.
Some of those people who are born to perform have to wait ten or twenty years to get on a real stage – but not Adrián. He got his first taste of the stage when he was just eight years old in his native Mexico. And that was just the beginning.
Early Life
Adrián was born in 1970, Mexico, on a Friday. Some believe that those born on Fridays are extroverts (and performers) by birth. His elementary school acting seems to prove that fact, as does the fact that his high school drama teacher reached out to him to join the drama club. 99% of the time, it’s the other way around.
That led to him attending the Instituto de Arte Escénico, where he spent a few years. When he was ready to move on from the institute, he leveled up again – this time to a full-time employed actor for the National Theater Company. When he wasn’t acting in pre-written roles, he liked to make people laugh – even performing as a clown at parties, in his spare time.
Commercial Success
This came in handy when he got the offer to play the hilarious character, Garfield, in the Mexican versions of Garfield the Movie and its sequel. His fame allowed him to pursue another laugh-inducing hobby, stand-up comedy, which seems to have worked out well. The PCTA named him Comedian of the Year back in 2003. As it stands, there seems to be nothing Adrián can’t do. This Mexican native only comes to the US sometimes – so don’t miss his upcoming tour.
