Alison Wonderland Tickets
In the last ten years, or at least in the last ten years on the internet, people have shown their appreciation for a good play on words or a good pun. So, then, it makes sense that people love Alison Wonderland as both a stage name and an artist.
Her play on words stage name gives a good insight into the type of music she makes and produces. It’s a little bit of a drug trip (just like the classic story is) and somehow still appeals to almost everyone. The best thing about it is that you won’t have to worry about anyone running around screaming “off with your head” while you’re listening. Unless you lose your head from one of her sick bass drops – but that’s on you.
Alexandra Sholler, The Cellist
A lot of EDM producers don’t play any instruments – they’re more appreciators of other people’s instrumentals than composers of their own. But that’s not true for Alexandra Sholler, which is Alison Wonderland’s real name.
She started off in music as a Cellist and has years of practice playing the giant-violin-looking instrument under her belt. For those that knew her, it was quite a shock that she would go from such a classical music type to EDM. But hey – we’re glad she did!
Down the Rabbit Hole
Most DJ’s spend some time in the booth before they make their debut, and Alison was no different. She spent time DJ’ing clubs in her local Syndey before putting out her first single. That single, “Get Ready,” helped her sign with the label EMI. She put out her first debut album, Calm Down, (which was anything but calm), just a year later. Since then she’s worked with people like Dillion Francis, Wayne Coyne, and Lido, cementing her spot as a woman in the male-dominated EDM world.
