Arizona Football Tickets

West Coast football doesn’t always get the attention it deserves, and one program fans should know about is the Arizona Wildcats. It’s typically difficult to find cheap Arizona football tickets, especially when the Wildcats play one of their Pac-12 rivals. To be fair, the program has only had a few conference championship banners in over a century of playing football. However, a run of success over the last 10 to 15 years has caused a spike in the demand for last-minute Arizona football tickets.

One of the Pack

The Wildcats always had a decent football team, even becoming one of the better programs in the WAC for a while. But the program didn’t start to take off until joining the Pac-10 (ultimately Pac-12) conference in 1978. Within a few years, winning seasons became the norm for Arizona. When Dick Tomey took over as head coach in 1987, the Wildcats hit their stride, at one point going to seven bowl games in 10 years. During that stretch, the Wildcats won their first Pac-10 title in 1993 and had a magical 1998 campaign in which they finished the season no. 4 in the polls.

Rich Rod Revival

Arizona football came alive again in 2012 under veteran head coach Rich Rodriguez, who brought his patented high-scoring offense to the desert. Under Rodriguez, the Wildcats went bowling five times in six seasons. That era was highlighted by a 10-4 campaign in 2014 in which Arizona reached the Pac-12 Championship Game for the first time, played in the Fiesta Bowl, and finished in the top-25 for the first time since 1998. While Rodriguez was unceremoniously fired because of off-field transgressions, the impact he made on the field at Arizona was significant and may have set up the Wildcats for future success.
