Alcorn State Football Tickets
The Southwestern Athletic Conference has long been one of the most compelling college football conferences at the FCS level, and one of its longtime members is the Alcorn State Braves. For years, scoring last-minute Alcorn State football tickets has been a treat for football fans in Mississippi. The Braves have been frequent champions of the SWAC and one of the few FCS programs that’s worth watching on a yearly basis. In fact, any college football fan would be lucky to find cheap Alcorn State football tickets to check out the Braves in person.
The Greatest Brave
Former quarterback Steve McNair is undoubtedly the biggest reason why Alcorn State is a known football program today. He played quarterback for the Braves from 1991 to 1994 and helped to put Alcorn State on the map. During that time, he set countless records, earned All-American recognition, and finished third in the Heisman voting, an accomplishment that’s almost unprecedented for FCS players. It didn’t hurt his legacy that McNair also led Alcorn State to two conference championships and two trips to the FCS Playoffs, which is a rare accomplishment for teams in the SWAC.
Title After Title
Before, during, and after McNair was Alcorn State’s quarterback, the Braves have grown accustomed to competing for championships. Since joining the SWAC in 1962, Alcorn State has won over a dozen conference championships. Perhaps more importantly, they’ve also won a handful of black national championships as the top HBCU program in the country. During the 2010s, the Braves emerged as one of the elite programs in the SWAC, winning the East Division and playing in the conference title game every year from 2014 to 2019. Alcorn State won four of those six SWAC Championship Games, establishing a mini-dynasty at the top of one of college football’s most competitive and exciting conferences.
