Fordham Football Tickets
With all of the metal and steel in New York City, it might be surprising to find a full-sized football field anywhere in the city. But there’s at least one that belongs to the Fordham Rams. Traditionally, it’s been easy to find cheap Fordham football tickets because the Rams are so often lost in the shuffle with everything else going on in New York. However, between the Rams gaining traction in recent years and having a few important rivalry games every year, last-minute Fordham football tickets are well worth the price of admission.
Sugar, Sugar
Most college football fans don’t realize it, but Fordham football was once a big deal. The Rams had a golden era during the 1930s under College Football Hall of Famer Jim Crowley. Starting in 1935, Crowley had the Rams ranked in the top-20 of the polls in seven consecutive seasons. His tenure culminated in the Rams going to the Cotton Bowl in 1940 and going to the Sugar Bowl in 1941, beating Missouri 2-0 to finish the season 8-1. While at Fordham, Crowley coached two of the greatest legends in football history: Vince Lombardi and Hall of Famer Alex Wojciechowicz.
What Have You Done for Me Lately?
Obviously, the golden era of Fordham football is in the rearview mirror. However, the Rams remain a solid FCS program taking up residence in the Patriot League. Over the years, coaches like Dave Clawson and Joe Moorhead have coached the Rams on their way up the ladder to jobs in power-conferences. Thanks to excellent coaching, Fordham has remained a threat inside the Patriot League and made several appearances in the FCS Playoffs, helping make the Rams one of the top FCS programs in the northeast while bringing pride to New York City.
