North Dakota Football Tickets
Even if it may not seem like it, North Dakota is a place that loves college football, including the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. Since they play at the FCS level, it’s usually easy to find cheap North Dakota football tickets. But that doesn’t mean the Fighting Hawks don’t have a great fanbase or a proud history. After all, the University of North Dakota has had a football team since the 1890s. In fact, ever since the Fighting Hawks made the leap to the FCS level in 2008, there has been a huge increase in the demand for last-minute North Dakota football tickets, showing that this is a program on the rise.
Division 2 Style
For much of their history, the Mountain Hawks have been a Division II program. Of course, North Dakota had great success in Division II, playing for decades as a member of the North Central Conference. Between 1928 and 2006, North Dakota won at least a share of the conference championship 24 times. The Mountain Hawks started to take serious steps forward in the 90s, going to the Division II playoffs six times from 1992 to 1999. North Dakota finally reached the top of the mountain in 2001, winning the Division II national championship and getting back to the title game two years later.
Taking Flight
In 2008, the time was right for the Mountain Hawks to take a step to the next level and start competing at the FCS level. It only took a few years for the Mountain Hawks to win a conference championship at the FCS level for the first time, as North Dakota’s success was almost immediate. In 2016, the program reached the FCS Playoffs for the first time, continuing to move up the ladder by joining the Missouri Valley Conference in 2020 and winning a conference title that very year. The 2020 campaign was also the first time the Mountain Hawks won an FCS Playoff game, showing that North Dakota football is still on the way up and that the sky is the limit for the Mountain Hawks.
