Al Attles Classic Tickets

The Al Attles Classic is one of the newest college basketball showcase tournaments that’s played early in the season and brings to gather teams from all across the country. The event is hosted by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and named in honor of Al Attles, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019, which was the first year the event was held. As a newer tournament, it’s a little easier to find cheap Al Attles Classic tickets compared to more established events. However, that may not be the case for long. Given the high-profile teams that have played in the event in the past, there’s bound to be a huge demand for last-minute Al Attles Classic tickets year after year.

What’s in a Name

Al Attles is truly one of the historic figures in the history of the Warriors franchise, so it’s appropriate that a basketball showcase have his name attached. He was drafted by the Warriors in 1960 when they were still in Philadelphia but played most of his career after the team moved to San Francisco. While he wasn’t known for being a great scorer, Attles was a great defensive player, earning him the nickname “The Destroy.” He then became a coach after his playing career was over, ultimately becoming head coach of the Warriors in 1970, leading them to the NBA championship in 1975, forever making him a legendary figure in the Bay Area.
