CSUB Basketball Tickets
As their name implies, the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners are one of the fastest-growing programs in college basketball. After being a dominant program at the Division II level, the Roadrunners made the jump to Division I in 2007. Since then, cheap CSUB basketball tickets have been much harder to find. The Roadrunners have found a welcoming home in the Big West, giving them a platform to grow while also developing rivalries with other California schools. The result has been a huge increase in the demand for last-minute CSUB basketball tickets, with basketball fans in California eager to see what the Roadrunners offer on the court.
Kings of the Road
For more than three decades, CSUB was one of the premier Division II programs. Between 1973, and 2006, the Roadrunners played in the NCAA Tournament at the Division II level 21 times. During that time, CSUB advanced to the Final Four on eight occasions. Most importantly, the Roadrunners won three national championships between 1993 and 1997, including back-to-back titles in 1993 and 1994. They never failed to make the tournament between 1988 and 1998, going 29-8 in tournament games in those years, leaving no question that CSUB was a powerhouse program at the Division II level.
Keep Running
In 2007, CSUB made the leap to the Division I level. As a member of the WAC, the Roadrunners reached the NCAA Tournament at the Division I level for the first time in 2016. Despite losing their first-round game, the Roadrunners won the WAC regular-season title the following year and proceeded to make a run to the NIT semifinals. Bakersfield took another step forward in 2020 by joining the Big West Conference. The Roadrunners have now proven themselves capable of competing at the Division I level and find themselves surrounded by other California schools in the Big West, indicating a bright future ahead for CSUB basketball.
