Upon a Burning Body Tickets
There’s metal, then there’s hardcore metal, then there’s deathcore metal, then there’s Upon a Burning Body. That’s the kind of intensity you can expect from their music and their shows.
That’s the kind of vibe they’re going for, so you can say they’ve succeeded. Even though they’ve only been a band for about a decade, they’ve gathered a global fanbase that’s willing to mosh at a moment’s notice.
You would never know it to listen to their voices, but the band is originally from San Antonio, Texas, proving that the Lonestar state can produce more than country tunes. From album to album, the five Texan bandmembers prove they really know how to rock.
The World is Ours
That’s not only how the bandmates think, but it was the title of their first album. They released in after signing with Sumerian Records in 2010, which is a legendary name in the metal industry.
A mere two years later, they put out “Red. White. Green”, which has nothing to do with Christmas. Both albums did well in the metal scene, but neither made it onto the Billboard top 40. They wouldn’t have a top-40 hit until their third album, “World Is My Enemy Now,” in 2014. That’s when they hit the charts, and it’s been their most successful record to date.
Straight from Southern Hostility
The band’s next album, “Straight from the Barrio,” included perhaps their most famous single, “Til the Break of Dawn.” But that album also proud record label troubles and the band officially left Sumerian records that year.
After leaving Sumerian, the band signed with Seek and Strike Records, to put out “Southern Hostility” in 2019. The title is a play on the classic idea of southern hospitality and a nod to their southern roots.
