Utah Valley State Basketball Tickets
The college basketball world is always welcoming to new members, with the Utah Valley State Wolverines being one of the newest programs at the Division I level. The Wolverines only started playing Division I basketball in 2009, which explains why cheap Utah Valley State basketball tickets are easy to find. But it may not be that way for long because the Wolverines have quickly found success. If that continues, it could only be a matter of time until last-minute Utah Valley State basketball tickets are in high demand.
Beginner’s Luck
Utah Valley State experienced early success after making a move to the Division I level, rarely having a losing season during the early days under head coach Dick Hunsaker. In fact, it was Hunsaker who led the Wolverines into the WAC in 2013, helping Utah Valley win the WAC regular-season title and reach the NIT in its first season in the new conference. It was a huge accomplishment for the Wolverines and a sign of great things to come.
Keep It Going
Even after Hunsaker’s tenure was over, the Wolverines continued to find success. Under Mark Pope, Utah Valley played in the CBI tournament for three straight seasons from 2017 to 2019, including a semifinal appearance in 2017. When Pope was hired by BYU in 2019, he passed the reins to former Stanford and NBA player Mark Madsen, who has continued to build on Utah Valley’s strong foundation. Madsen led the Wolverines to the WAC regular-season title in 2021 and a 20-win season during the 2021-22 campaign, keeping Utah Valley State on track to become one of the next great mid-major programs in college basketball.
