Music fans who expect DNCE to be a spin-off of the Jonas Brothers have got another thing coming. However, they will be pleasantly surprised at the sound DNCE created. They don’t have the same pop-rock sound as the Jonas Brothers. In fact, DNCE is more of a garage band that’s been influenced by groups throughout the musical spectrum. The band has noted that everyone from Led Zeppelin to Prince to Weezer to Hall & Oates and even Electric Light Orchestra has influenced their sound. DNCE’s sound is a little poppy, a little bit of rock, and a lot of funk.
