Migos Tickets
The group Migos has some pretty famous fans. First of all, there’s Offset’s relationship with Cardi B, who has been known to show up on the Migos stage. Then there’s Donald Glover, or Childish Gambino, who called Migos the “Beatles of this generation.” That’s a little bit of a thought adjustment, given the different genres, but you can see what he means. Their other fans can be seen on their album Culture, which is full of famous Collabs. It seems that everyone who hears Migos falls in love with their sound – and finds their music impossible not to bop.
Early Life, Amigos
All three members, Quavious Marshall (Quavo), Kirshnik Ball (Takeoff), Kiari Cephus (Offset), are related. Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle (though they’re very close in age), while Offset is Quavo’s cousin. The three grew up together in Lawrenceville, GA, and were raised by Quavo’s mom. The childhood friends and relatives put out their first mixtape in 2009, then, as the Polo Club. They didn’t take on the name Migos until 2011. If you’ve ever wondered what the name Migos means, there are two theories. It either comes from Amigos, or it’s a reference to a drug house, where the trio spent some of their childhood selling drugs.
Bad, Boujee, and Famous
They didn’t sell drugs for the thrill of it – they did so to earn money to make their music. All that equipment is expensive, and they were working towards their 2011 mixtape, Juug Season. That mixtape was one of fourteen, not including their two studio albums. While their song Bando, did well in Georgia in 2012, they didn’t breakthrough until 2013, when Drake collaborated with them on Versace. That push gave them the ability to put out Bad and Boujee, which made them a pop culture fixture. Since then, they’ve worked and performed with everyone from Gucci Mane to Katy Perry. Their live shows are like a party – you never know who will come out on stage.
