Amy Shark Tickets

Amy Shark is not the cool older sister of the baby shark family, nor does she make music that gets as obnoxiously stuck in your head as that kid-themed song. Instead, she makes indie pop, which manages to be angsty and ethereal at the same time – an impressive feat.

Amy comes to our ears from the Gold Coast of Australia, which is where she got her start. Amy gained popularity by submitting a song to the Queensland Music Awards. She came out with a win in the pop category, which got her an art grant. That grant was enough for her to make music full time and start touring with All that happened in 2016, and her life (and career) has been a whirlwind since.

From No One to The One

What’s impressive about Amy’s career is that she went from someone no one knew to a country-wide success in a matter of years. She submitted her song in 2015, put out her first single a year later, and got a record deal in 2017. Most artists have to work for at least five or ten years to get that kind of success. After signing with Wonderlick record labels, Amy put out her first album in 2018. In what may be a subtle nod to Lady Gaga, she called it Love Monster.

An Unsurpassable Album

Love Monster is her only full-length studio album as of this writing, and it’s still playing on Australian radio stations about once a day. Most of Amy’s tours have been in Australia, but she’s branching out on an international tour soon. That means you can be one of the first people in the US to get tickets to see her live. Need the hookup? It’s called the Gametime App.
