Amos Lee Tickets

Much of the music in the 80s and 90s was high energy. The kind of high energy that if you listened to the top hits of those decades over and over, eventually you’d get a headache. That’s one reason we saw things slow down, tempo-wise in the new Millenium. That’s when we saw music from artists like the Norah Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae, and (of course) Amos Lee hit their stride.

Amos’ mix of smooth crooning and non-elevator-music type jazz made people especially excited. His music can both calm and energize you when you listen to it, depending on what you need. A great artist is one that can make you feel something, and Amos certainly does that.

Early Life

Amos was born in Pennsylvania in the late 70s and grew up in a modest family. He went to the University of South Carolina for an English degree, which he used when he taught elementary school full time.

After teaching for a few years, Amos realized he needed to give himself a chance and really pursue music. So he said goodbye to his students and waited tables while he built up his song portfolio. Finally, when it felt like nothing else could go wrong, he was asked to open for Norah Jones on tour. It was there that he met Lee Alexander, who helped Amos produce his first album.

Supply and Demand

Lee’s first album, Blue Note, came out in 2005. It had two Billboard chart hits, and its famous songs are still used as background music in shows and movies to this day. Since then, Amos has put out a range of new albums, including the classic Supply and Demand. We are always ready for new Amos Lee Music, but we’re at the mercy of when he wants to supply us with his talent.
