Alex Clare Tickets
It seems that these days, no one sends out demos anymore. Not only is it harder to get attention with them because they’re digital files now (and get lost in a sea of emails) but, there’s just so much talent!
Getting a record company employee to even open your demo pitch is harder than ever. And having them listen to it and like it? Almost impossible. This is why it was such a miracle when Alex Clare’s demo not only got opened but got listened to, too. The stars aligned that day, and his demo got him a record deal with Island Records, along with a debut album – but more about that later. Who exactly is Alex Clare? And why did he get so lucky? Learn below.
Alex Clare’s Early Life
London has so many neighborhoods and suburbs it’s practically impossible to keep track of. And Alex is from Southwark, London. He was born into a family that wasn’t actively musical but who listened to a lot of old school jazz. Some of Alex’s faves (now and growing up) include Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, and, more recently, John Legend. He started playing instruments around middle school and never stopped. The UK star can play the trumpet, drums, guitar, keyboard, and countless more.
The Lateness of the Hour
All of that musical training helped him when he was putting together his debut album, The Lateness of the Hour in 2011. It charted for multiple singles, and since then, his songs have been featured in countless commercials – including a theme song for a show on the BBC! Alex is quite busy, which means he doesn’t go on tour often. If you find out he’s coming to your city, you need to snap up tickets fast! Don’t let the opportunity go to waste.
