After the Burial Tickets
There’s metal music, there’s heavy metal, and then there’s face-melting metal music that makes your brain temporarily shut down from the intensity of the noise. After the Burial’s music is the last kind – and that’s why people love them. The band isn’t satisfied with heavy riffs on the electric guitar and banging drums – they bring a little bit of studio magic into the mix to make things really pop. Their record label calls it tech-wizardry, but we simply call it talent.
They’re easily one of the most popular pioneers into extreme metal music, and their fans love every minute of it. Every time they release an album, it seems they can’t get any darker until they do. Want to learn more about this band? Read more, below.
About After the Burial
The group consists of eight men, all of whom were in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis in 2004, in the right place, at the right time. In no particular order, the (current and past) members are Dan Carle, Lee Foral, Anthony Notarmaso, Justin Lowe, Lerichard Foral, Grant Luoma, Nick Wellner, and Trent Hafdahl. Not everyone in the band has always been able to handle the intensity of the music, so personnel changes happen often. That’s okay, though – they still manage to put out kickass music with each album.
Face Melting Discography
If you’re new to After the Burial, we suggest starting out slow. If you listen to too much of their music too fast, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the sound. We recommend starting with their early albums, like Rareform and In Dreams, before moving up towards their newer albums like Evergreen.
When it comes to live shows, the band is known to tour with some impressive names in the metal genre. A few years ago, they toured with Killswitch and Vein, both of which got more popular thanks to After the Burial’s success.
