Playboi Carti Tickets
What do you know about the A$AP Mob? Did you know that they have their own record label? Or that it’s no coincidence that artists like A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and A$AP Carti all have the same prefixes to their stage names? If you’ve never heard of A$AP Carti, that’s because he usually goes by Playboi Carti – though he’s 100% part of the A$AP group. Why he chooses not to go by his A$AP mob name is a mystery to us.
No matter what you call him, you can’t deny his talent – even if a large number of his songs have been deleted off of the accessible internet. Your only hope to hear those songs now is to see him in person.
Early Life
Playboi Carti was born Jordan Terrel Carter in the late 1990s, outside of Atlanta. He was always into music and would often skip out on school to work on his craft. When he wasn’t working on music, he was working at H&M, which may have something to do with his status as a fashion icon. Before he was Playboi Carti, he was performing as Sir Cartier, but that was short-lived. He didn’t make it out of the underground/local scene until he met A$AP Rocky at a 2015 show.
Signed to Success
The first big mixtape Carti put out was Playboi Carti, in 2017. It got written up in music magazines, online publications, and even had two Billboard Top 100 singles. That’s a pretty good way to come out! That success allowed Carti to open for Gucci Mane on tour, and he got signed to Awful Records and the A$AP Mob group a few months later. Since being signed, he’s put out songs with other internet-born stars like Lil Yachty and most members of the A$AP group. And since he has so many friends in the rap community – you can expect a few special guests when you see him live – but you have to buy tickets, first!
