American Idol has produced many pop stars. Okay, well, not countless, more like at least one for every season they were on air. And when they announced they wouldn’t be on cable TV anymore a few years ago, we thought that was about to change – and it did, but not in the way we thought.

Instead of its prime time slot on cable channels, American Idol went to digital/streaming only. And with that change and judges like Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, they’ve continued to give us new stars each year.

Alejandro Aranda: An American Idol

One of those such stars is Alejandro Aranda, from Pomona, California. He slayed the judges’ expectations on the 2019 season of American Idol and, though he didn’t win the grand prize, the show was a pivotal stepping stone on his way to success.

He started impressing the judges from the very first day – Katy Perry said his audition was one of the most talented ones she’d ever heard! That’s not all Katy had to say, though. She also called him a musical genius and took the time to remind him of each round that his talent was extraordinary. What nice compliments to get!

What’s Next for Alejandro?

When Alex got sent home from American Idol, he wasn’t as heartbroken as you’d think he was. He said the entire experience was such a dream that he was just grateful to be a part of it while he was there. He hasn’t announced anything official in terms of career moves yet, but we expect big things from him. Like a tour – as soon as possible! We miss hearing that angelic voice and high-quality guitar playing.
