About Choctaw Stadium

Globe Life Park

Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas is the longtime home of the Texas Rangers. The Rangers have played there since 1994 when it was known as The Ballpark in Arlington. The stadium has also hosted several concerts, college baseball games, international soccer matches, and other events. The Rangers will be moving to a new stadium in 2020, at which point Globe Life Park will be used by a new XFL franchise coming to Dallas.

Best Places to Sit at Globe Life Park

For Globe Life Park sporting events, the best places to sit are sections 222-230, which is the club level just below the press box. This part of the stadium will have a perfect view of the entire field and have easy access to food and concessions. To get closer to the field, consider sections 18-23. These are field-level seats on the third-base side of the stadium that will keep you close to the field and give you a great vantage point of the video board. For the cheapest Rangers tickets that still have a good view of the field, sections 322-330 are right behind home plate and provide a good vantage point, despite being a little further from the field.

Tips for Visiting Globe Life Park

If you're heading a to a Rangers game, you should always, always check the weather and lather up on sunscreen! Even for nighttime games at Globe Life Park, the sun will be out early in the game, adding to the Texas heat. To stay out of the sun as much as possible, try sitting along the 1st baseline or behind home plate, specifically in the last few rows of any section, as these areas are the most likely to be in the shade. The second level of seats in right field has a large overhang above it to help shield the sun, although most other outfield seats will have no protection from the sun whatsoever.

Food to Try at Globe Life Park

Globe Life Park events have over 100 concession stands located throughout the ballpark, so there's no shortage of dining options. One can’t-miss item is the red, white, and blue hot dog, which features onions and pickled relish that has been dyed red and blue. The park also takes chicken wings to the next level by wrapping them in bacon. Of course, if you’re not a carnivore, you’ll be well-covered, as Globe Life Park offers a veggie wrap, vegan burger, and even vegan street tacos.
