Alex Cameron Tickets
When it comes to pop stars, indie-pop or not, there’s pretty much one clear trajectory for their careers: they get discovered, put out a single or two, tour with a band to get fans, then put out a debut album.
That’s how it’s been for years, and very few people break the mold. Alex Cameron, as it turns out, is one of those few people. Instead of saying, “hello world, this is me,” and introducing his music, Alex pretended to be a forgotten washed-up musician. It was a little bit like performance art. We didn’t understand it then, we don’t understand it now, but it caught our attention, so apparently, it was successful.
A Strange but Talented Man
Now that we think of it, his album names are a little weird, too. Secretly Canadian and Miami Memory are odd choices for album names, especially since he’s from Sydney. Quirks aside, we can’t say he doesn’t have talent, or that we wouldn’t spend exorbitant amounts on a ticket for his show. But thankfully we won’t have to, because of the Gametime app.
To add to the mystique, he co-wrote songs with The Killers frontman, Brandon Flowers, then didn’t take any credit for them. We love an artist who keeps us on our toes!
Success in Sydney
As Alex Cameron’s antics start to get more attention, his name is spreading from continent to continent. He’s quickly becoming more than a down-under quirky musician, thanks to his songwriting skills, that are so good, it’s almost unfair.
Soon he’ll be touring the world on his own, not just opening for other people. And when that day comes, you don’t want to be left out. This unpredictable artist is just that…unpredictable – so see his show while you can!
