Founded in 2009 as a quartet that includes a pair of brothers, Highly Suspect was once nothing more than a cover band playing Pink Floyd and Sublime songs in Cape Cod bars frequented by the locals. But less than a decade later, Highly Suspect had become far more than a cover band, finding success in all corners of the country and being nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. Highly Suspect’s story is truly one of the great underdog tales in the history of rock music. All Over the Spectrum

Perhaps the greatest strength of Highly Suspect is that it’s impossible to put them in a box, musically speaking. Even if most people would describe them as an alternative rock band, they are so much more than that. As a former cover band, they’re capable of incorporating plenty of different genres into their sound, adding elements of punk, grunge, and blues. Over time, Highly Suspect was also able to mix elements of hip-hop and electro-pop into their sound, changing their approach to music in a unique way that few bands would even attempt, much less pull off with ease.
