3TEETH Tickets
The underground music scene has given us some of the best bands and artists ever – no matter the genre. Rap sensation G-Eazy was once underground, and now, “he’s made it to Forbes.” More relevantly, 3TEETH was once an underground band, playing venues in the seediest of places in LA. They put in the work when it came to building a fan base, though the quality of their music did a lot of the work for them.
Over the years, we’ve learned that people love artists who aren’t shy about what they think/believe, and 3TEETH is no exception. Part of what brought them from underground into the light of day was their political lyrics that made a very strong against-the-man stance. Their dedication to speaking, well, screaming the truth has served them well!
Baby Teeth (Forming the Band)
3TEETH is a rather new band when you look at how old metal staples like Tool and NIN are. They were formed in 2013 when Alexis Mincolla and Xavier Swafford met and found they had common musical interests. From there, they added Andrew Means and Chase Brawner, to complete the band. They put out their first EP in 2014, right before fate struck.
Mincolla happened to be in a wedding that included one of the bandmates from Tool, and he invited them to open for them on tour. We bet the fee the rent the tux was worth it for that big day!
Chomping Towards Success
After opening for Tool on tour, they worked towards releasing their first studio album, Degrade. They followed it with Shutdown.exe, which shut-down anyone that had questioned their talent in the past. Since then, they’ve been able to work with legendary people in the metal world and snag a record contract. Impressive? Yes. Doing all that in less than four years? Almost impossible – unless you’re 3TEETH.
