Since the band burst onto the scene in 2014, they have cranked out one great song after another, creating an impressive setlist of songs for live shows that keeps the energy level high from start to finish. I Prevail has become a regular on hard rock tours and at marquee festivals, and they always seem to have new music to unveil, making every tour a new and different experience for fans.

An Unlikely Hit

Few bands of any genre announce their entry into the mainstream the same way that I Prevail did in 2014. The band’s first single was actually a cover of Taylor Swift’s song “Blank Space.” Needless to say, it was an unusual choice to turn a pop classic into a hardcore ballad, but I Prevail managed to pull it off. Audiences loved the unique take on one of Swift’s songs, as the I Prevail version of “Blank Space” eventually went platinum in the U.S. From there, it seemed like the band could do no wrong, as I Prevail started to gain attention for its original songs, becoming one of the most accomplished bands in the hardcore genre.

The Journey Prevails

Even after their success with “Blank Space,” it wasn’t always smooth sailing for I Prevail. The band has endured a few changes to its lineup following the success of its Heart vs Mind EP. But as their name implies, the band prevailed. They have since released two full-length albums and over a dozen singles. I Prevail has even won critical acclaim, earning two Grammy nominations in 2019 for their song “Bow Down” and their album Trauma. Of course, while the albums are great, I Prevail is still at its best when they’re performing live and bringing the kind of energy that only hardcore bands can bring to a live performance.
