The Thomas and Mack Center is a sports and entertainment venue on the University of Las Vegas campus in Paradise, Nevada. It serves primarily as the home of the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels college basketball team. The venue opened in 1983 and is nicknamed “The Shark Tank” after legendary UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian (nicknamed Tark the Shark). But it also hosts the NBA Summer League, as well as occasional NBA regular-season games. The Thomas and Mack Center has also been used for other entertainment events, including concerts, martial arts events, and rodeo events.
