The Danforth Music Hall is a music venue in Toronto. The venue gets its name from being located in Danforth Avenue in the Riverdale neighborhood of Toronto, which is a few miles northeast of downtown. It first opened as a movie theatre called Allen Danforth’s Theatre in 1919 and has gone by several names in over a century of operating. In 1985, the Danforth Music Hall was designated as a property of historic interest. For concerts, the Danforth Music Hall has a capacity of 1,427 guests, including 1,145 reserved seats.

There are three areas of seating at the Danforth Music Hall. The Orchestra Section is the lowest level and is located closest to the stage. Depending on the show, there will either be chairs set up or it will be general admission and an open layout. The second level of the venue is where you’ll find the Mezzanine Section and the Balcony. However, the theatre is small enough that even Balcony seats feel close to the stage.
