About Bryce Jordan Center

Bryce Jordan Center

The Bryce Jordan Center is a sports and entertainment venue on the campus of Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. The arena opened in 1996 and serves as the primary home of the Penn State men’s and women’s basketball teams. It’s named after Bryce Jordan, a former Penn State president who helped to get the arena built. In addition to college basketball games, the Bryce Jordan Center has hosted countless concerts, pro wrestling events, and other community events. For basketball games, the Bryce Jordan Center has a capacity of over 15,200 fans.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at the Bryce Jordan Center

The Bryce Jordan Center offers a few sections of court-side seating that put fans as close to the court as possible. Outside of that, sections 105, 106, 122, and 123 are the best places for a view close to the court and near the middle of the court. Meanwhile, sections 106 and 107 are behind the Penn State bench, while sections 105 and 104 have seats behind the visiting bench. In the upper level, sections 205, 206, 222, and 223 offer the best overall views of the court.

Tips for Visiting the Bryce Jordan Center

The Bryce Jordan Center is located in the middle of the Penn State campus. This makes it easy to find accessible and affordable parking before games. There is also public transportation that can take fans close to the front gate. With its central location, a visit to the Bryce Jordan Center makes it easy to walk around the beautiful Penn State campus or visit some of the bars and restaurants located on or near the campus. Fans with a little more time before or after games should also be encouraged to take in some mountainous scenery surrounding the Penn State campus, including Mount Nittany.

Food to Try at the Bryce Jordan Center

For those who don’t get a pre-game meal elsewhere, the BBQ Ribs basket and the pulled pork sandwich at Spotlight BBQ are the best items available at the Bryce Jordan Center. The arena also offers classic items like pizza, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs. The boneless Buffalo wings at All American Eats are also worth trying, as is the ice cream at the Penn State Berkey Creamery inside the arena.
