About Amy Schumer

Comedians do it all these days. They write books, star in movies, produce movies, do stand up shows, host podcasts, create television series, and pose naked for vogue. And by Comedians, we mean Amy Schumer. Somehow the not yet 40-year-old has managed to do all that, and more.

One thing we love about Amy, and that we can’t say for most people who are that accomplished, is that she’s never afraid to make fun of herself. She’s “trash from Long Island,” to put it in her own words. She has a lot of self-awareness and smarts for someone who, admittedly, has a tramp stamp (or lower back tattoo).

Inside Amy Schumer(‘s Path to Success)

Amy has been making people laugh her entire life. Sometimes it’s 100% laughter, and sometimes it’s I-can’t-believe-she-went-there type giggles, but we love her all the same. She started doing stand up in the 2000s but got her big break on the TV show, Last Comic Standing, in 2007. That success led to her putting out her TV show on Comedy Central, titled Inside Amy Schumer. That TV show won her an Emmy and cemented her at the center of modern comedy.

Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty

When she wasn’t doing standup specials or shows, she was acting in and helping produce movies like, Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty. The previous was her first movie (and the bigger hit of the two), but I Feel Pretty is worth watching, too. She recently got married, and though she had a very tumultuous pregnancy, she gave birth to her first child. When she’s not trying to balance motherhood and fame, she’s hosting her podcast 3 Girls, 1 Keith.
