About AJJ

AJJ Tickets

Creative people don’t mind ruffling a few feathers here and there. We saw it when Madonna burned crosses in one of her music videos, back when Elvis couldn’t keep his hands off his pelvis, and with the band AJJ.

AJJ isn’t a bad band – in fact, we wouldn’t be posting this if they were! They just made an interesting naming decision when they decided to make the last J in their band name stand for Jihad. The full acronym used to stand for Andrew Jackson Jihad, and no, we don’t have the full explanation as to why. If you ever get the chance to meet them, now you know what to ask. As of 2016, the band officially changed its name to AJJ and dropped the letters’ previous meaning.

Making the Band

AJJ, which is how we’ll refer to them for simplicity’s sake, is made up of Sean Bonette, Ben Gallaty, Preston Bryant, and Mark Glick. There have been as many as seven previous members, but as far as we know, the above lineup is correct. Personnel changes aside, the band put out their debut album in 2005, titled Candy Cigarettes and Cap Guns. That album got the attention of a small record label (Plan-It-X Records), and they put out their next full-length album in 2007.

The Bible 2

AJJ is great at naming albums. We don’t necessarily understand all of the names, but we give them top marks for creativity. Their discography includes names like The Knife Man, People Who Can Eat Are the Luckiest People in the World, and Christmas Island – just to name a few. With names like that, we have no idea what to expect from their next album. It could be anything from an EP to a full studio album with a strange name. No matter what it is, we’ll be waiting for the release with bated breath.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much are AJJ tickets?

AJJ ticket prices will differ depending on the source and the seats. The best price for AJJ tickets is usually around $23 a ticket, and that’s for nosebleed seats! If you want floor seats, or if you’re shopping for tickets at a popular venue, you could easily be looking at a few hundred dollars more.

How to buy AJJ tickets?

AJJ ticket prices are going to be pretty high if purchased directly from the box office. That means the best way to buy cheap AJJ tickets is online through a ticket marketplace. Ticket marketplaces like Gametime are perfect because they put you in contact with resellers looking to move seats at a relative bargain. It’s the safest and most affordable way to get the best price for AJJ tickets.

What’s AJJ tour setlist?

You never know what’s going to happen at an AJJ concert, but here’s the average tour setlist:

  • A Poem
  • Brave as a Noun
  • Evil
  • Body Terror Song
  • Feedbag
  • Kokopelli Face Tattoo
  • Fucc the Devil
  • Getting Naked, Playing With Guns
  • People II: The Reckoning
  • People
  • Growing Up
  • No Justice, No Peace, No Hope
  • Mega Guillotine 2020

  • Your Voice, as I Remember it
  • Junkie Church
  • American Tune
  • Children of God
  • Truckers Are The Blood
  • Small Red Boy
  • A Big Day for Grimley
  • Big Bird

How long is an AJJ concert?

With such an epic setlist, you can expect AJJ’s performance to last for around 90 minutes, from start to finish. When you take opening acts into account, you’re looking at two to three hours of entertainment.

How much are AJJ floor seats?

The best way to see AJJ live is up close and personal from the floor, but these seats are always super expensive. The cheap end of floor seats can easily be $40 to $65, and if you’re seeing AJJ at a venue with stage pit seats it could be even more pricey.

Of course, there are ways around this. There’s a great strategy for cutting AJJ ticket prices on floor seats, and the best part is that it requires you to do literally nothing but wait. Waiting until the last minute can get you some great discounts because resellers with unsold seats don’t make any money. Wait it out and watch those prices drop to something more affordable, and then enjoy your floor seats!
