About Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Nestled in the heart of Atlanta, a geometric glass-and-steel behemoth rises from the city, glittering in the sun. Its silver exterior gleams, an angular beast dominating the landscape, even as the roar of the crowd can be heard from its cavernous inside. On its roof, its symbol can be seen proudly: the Mercedes-Benz emblem. This marvel of engineering is the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and it. Will. Blow. Your. Mind.

The History of the Stadium

The multi-purpose Mercedes-Benz Stadium was built in 2016, making it one of the newest and most modern stadiums in both the National Football League and Major League Soccer. Built to replace the Georgia Dome, which had been built in 1992, Mercedes-Benz Stadium is one of only five NFL stadiums with a retractable roof. It’s owned by the state of Georgia itself.

What Makes Mercedes-Benz Stadium so Special?

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a marvel of modern engineering, and the kinds of amenities this monster arena offers are seemingly unending. With the ability to hold more than 75,000 screaming, crazed fans for either the NFL or the MLS, this stadium holds the record for the world’s largest video board at more than 62,000 square feet. We don’t know how much that is, but we’re pretty sure you’ll never miss a moment of the action no matter where you’re sitting in this behemoth of a stadium! Combined with that retractable roof and you’ll be sitting pretty in comfort rain or shine.
