About Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Located in downtown Atlanta, this brand new stadium opened in 2017 to replace the Georgia Dome. Mercedes-Benz Stadium is unlike any other in the country, with state-of-the-art technology throughout the venue, including a Transformer-like retractable roof. In fact, the stadium's halo board is the first ever of its kind, clocking in at 58 feet tall and 1,100 feet around. It's also the first pro sports venue in the country to be LEED platinum-certified and the most sustainable sports venue in the world — not too shabby.

Seating up to 83,000 people, the stadium acts as home turf for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC and hosts several concerts and events throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

Given the stadium's convenient downtown location, there are plenty of transportation options for fans heading to a game. Check out the Mercedes-Benz Stadium website for driving directions, parking passes, and full public transit routes.

  • Public Transit
Hop on MARTA — Atlanta's citywide rail and bus system — to easily get to Mercedes-Benz Stadium from anywhere in the metro area. There are several stops located right at the entrance of the stadium, making it a breeze to take public transportation to the game.

  • Ride Sharing
Catch a ride to the game with Uber or Lyft, which both have a solid presence in Atlanta. The stadium has set up dropoff and pickup locations in partnership with Lyft, making it even easier to get in and out of the area and avoid congestion.  The primary (recommended) Lyft zone is near Gate 1, while a smaller secondary zone services Gates 2, 3, and 4 on Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
  • Driving
For those who choose to brave the traffic and drive to the game, there is ample parking around the stadium — with nearly 20,000 spots within a 20-minute walk from the entrance. Parking passes for official stadium lots can be purchased online in advance.
  • Biking
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is located right next to the Westside PATH, an off-road bike trail connecting several parts of the city. If you ride your bike to the stadium, you can lock it up at one of the many racks on the grounds, or use the stadium's bike valet (available on most major event days).
