About Lucas Oil Stadium

Lucas Oil Stadium

One of the newest and most modern multi-purpose arenas around, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis can handle it all. From football to basketball to soccer and more, this fantastic venue has something for everyone no matter what.

History of Lucas Oil Stadium

A thoroughly ultra-modern venue, Lucas Oil Stadium opened its doors in 2008, making it one of the new kids on the block in the world of multi-purpose arenas. Part of the bid to modernize the sports entertainment landscape in Indianapolis, the new stadium was built to replace the city’s aging RCA Dome.

What Makes Lucas Oil Stadium Events So Special?

There are lots of nice big (and little) touches that make Lucas Oil Stadium events so special. First is the construction of the venue itself, as it has both a retractable roof and a large retractable window on one end of the arena, making it possible to play in all sorts of weather. Opening that northeast window also provides spectators a gorgeous view of the Indianapolis skyline.

Other than that, there’s plenty to like about this stadium. Extra-wide public concourses, comfortable seating with a 21-inch width and plenty of legroom, and HD scoreboards everywhere to make sure you never miss a moment of the game round out the venue’s amenities. No matter what event you’re attending, doing it at the Lucas Oil Stadium means you’ll be doing it in style.
