Florida Georgia Line Tickets

If you don’t think Florida counts as the deep south, you haven’t been up around the Florida Georgia Line. About an hour into Florida on 1-75, there’s even a giant stars and bars flag that waves over the highway. So the fact that the band Florida Georgia Line is a country band makes sense. The name is in honor of where both band members come from and makes it easy for their fans to feel connected to their music. And while they’re country music boys through and through, they’ve shown they have range. They’ve worked with pop star Bebe Rexha as well as Nelly. What can’t these boys do?

Making the Band

Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard are the two men behind the music. They met at Belmont University in Nashville, and would write songs whenever they got the chance – even between classes! Brian is the Floridian part of the duo, while Tyler hails from Monroe. Once they had some solid songs on their list, they started playing the tried and true Nashville circuit. They quickly booked other big southern venues and were on their way to success.

It Was Meant to Be

While their first hit song, “Cruise,” stayed on the Country Billboard charts for two months, they didn’t have their first genre crossover until 2018. That crossover was the song “Meant to Be,” featuring Bebe Rexha, which peaked at #16 on the Top 100 charts. It was doing well on its own but was boosted even further when Nelly, the rapper you know for “Hot in Here,” remixed it and put it out online. Did those two college boys ever dream that a hip-hop legend would remix one of their songs? We doubt it – but crazy things happen when you pursue your dreams!
