About Memorial Stadium Kansas

Memorial Stadium Kansas

David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium is a college football stadium on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas. The stadium first opened in 1921, making it one of the oldest football stadiums in the country. It was dedicated to the University of Kansas students who died serving their country in World War I. Known affectionally as “The Booth,” Memorial Stadium serves primarily as the home field of the Kansas Jayhawks football team. The stadium has received several renovations over the years, including one as recently as 2023. For football games, Kansas Memorial Stadium has a capacity of over 47,000 fans.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at Kansas Memorial Stadium

The best places to sit during a football game at Kansas Memorial Stadium are in sections 5, 6, 21, and 22. These sections are right at midfield, with sections 5 and 6 located behind the Kansas bench and 21 and 22 behind the visiting bench. However, these sections have over 60 rows, so not all of them are close to the field. Seats in the first ten rows will put you close to the action, while seats a little further back may offer a better overall view of the field.
