Bud Walton Arena is a college basketball arena located on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Since 1993, it has served as the home court for the men’s and women’s Arkansas Razorbacks basketball teams, with the men’s team winning a national championship in their first season playing at the arena. The venue is named after Bud Walton, the co-founder of Walmart, who donated a large sum of money to help build the arena, while the court is named after longtime Arkansas basketball coach Nolan Richardson. For basketball games, Bud Walton Arena has a capacity of over 19,000 fans, although the record attendance is over 20,300 fans.
