Exciting US Concert Tours in 2023: Confirmed, Rumored & Predictions

With 2022 quickly coming to a close, it’s not too soon to start making concert plans for 2023. It might sound early, but now is the best time to start thinking about what concerts should be on your radar next year. That begs the question of what major recording artists and musicians are going on tour in 2023. There have already been some artists announcing tour plans for the new year, while others have been rumored to be hitting the road as well. To get a jump start on concerts in the new year, let’s look at both the confirmed and rumored artists that you won’t want to miss on tour in 2023.

Taylor Swift

There’s no question that Taylor Swift will have the biggest tour of 2023. The Eras Tour will be her first major tour since her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour. That means that the recently released Midnights album is the fourth album she’s released since her last tour. Swift says her highly anticipated tour will be a “journey through all of my musical eras,” which means her tour will likely include material from all 10 of her studio albums. Swift’s tour will kick off on March 17 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, hitting big stadiums throughout the country before ending back on the West Coast with five shows at SoFi Stadium in Southern California.

Beyonce

If Swift’s tour is the best in 2023, we should consider Beyonce’s tour could be an extremely close second. While dates haven’t been finalized yet, all signs point to a summer tour in 2023. Beyonce released her Renaissance album in July 2022 and has hinted that even more new music is on the way. That makes it natural for the former Destiny’s Child star to hit the road. While she had a co-headlining tour with Jay-Z in 2018, Beyonce hasn’t had a solo tour since 2016, so her fans have waited a long time for this.

Blink 182

The 90s are coming back with a vengeance next summer as Blink 182 are set to hit the road. Not only are the pop-punk kings touring and releasing new material, but they will be doing so with the original lineup. Guitar player Tom Delonge is back alongside Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker and will be performing together for the first time in a decade. Given everything that’s happened with Blink 182 during that time, there’s no telling if this could be the last chance fans have to see the original trio together. Things are scheduled to get started on May 4 at the Xcel Energy Center in Minneapolis and wrap up in mid-July at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Bruce Springsteen

The Boss is back on the road starting in February 2023. While Bruce Springsteen did a residency in New York in 2017 and 2018, he hasn’t toured the country since The River Tour in 2016 and 2017, so it’s been a while since the New Jersey native and his E Street Band have made themselves available to a national audience. The second leg of the tour will be in Europe. However, the first leg will be in the states, starting February 1 at Amalie Arena in Tampa and finishing (fittingly) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on April 14.

Ed Sheeran

After beginning his +–=÷x Tour in April 2022, Ed Sheeran is still going to be on the road in 2023. The English-born superstar will be spending February and March in Australia and New Zealand before coming to North America in May. He’ll get things started at AT&T Stadium on May 6 and has 24 shows planned throughout the U.S. and Canada. Sheeran’s tour in support of his fourth album will come to an end on September 23 at SoFi Stadium in Southern California.

Luke Combs

Country music fans know that summers are for going to concerts. In 2023, Luke Combs will headline the many country acts that are hitting the road. Combs has become a bonafide country superstar in a short period of time. He won CMA Entertainer of the Year in 2021 and released his third album, Growin’ Up, in the summer of 2022. Combs will hit the road in 2023 with tickets already selling like hotcakes. The party gets started at AT&T Stadium on March 25. He’s set to play in a different city every Saturday night until July 29, when Combs is scheduled to wrap up his stadium tour at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Matchbox Twenty

One could call 2023 the summer of nostalgia because, in addition to Blink 182, Matchbox Twenty is also planning a tour throughout North America. Rob Thomas and the boys planned the aptly titled Matchbox Twenty 2020 tour, only to postpone it because of the pandemic. Instead, fans of the 90s rock group have had to wait until 2023 to see Matchbox Twenty on tour for the first time since they hit the road with the Counting Crows in 2017. The silver lining is that it should be worth the wait. Matchbox Twenty will be playing all of the old hits at over 50 venues throughout the U.S. and Canada this summer. They’ll actually kick things off in Canada at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on May 16 and slowly weave their way across North America, bringing the tour to its conclusion on August 6 at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater outside of Chicago.
