About Chris Stapleton

Chris Stapleton Tickets

The iconic Chris Stapleton is so much more than just another country musician. This singer-songwriter and music producer has written or co-written more than 170 songs. Six of those co-written songs – penned in collaboration with performers like George Strait, Luke Bryan, and Kenny Chesney – have gone on to top the country charts. As if that’s not enough, his trophy case is filled with five Grammys, seven Academy of Country Music Awards, and ten Country Music Association Awards. This down-home country boy isn't messing around.

The Son of a Kentucky Coal Miner

Blue-collar work is in Chris Stapleton’s blood. Born in Kentucky in 1978, he comes from a long line of rough and tough coal miners, but Chris took a different route. Originally deciding to attend Vanderbilt University for engineering, Stapleton would eventually leave school and start a Travis Tritt tribute band in 1999. It wasn’t long, though, before this son of a Kentucky coal miner would head off to greener pastures in Nashville in search of fame and fortune.

Chris wasted no time, arriving in Nashville in 2001 and signing a deal with Sea Gayle Music as a songwriter. A few years later, he formed a bluegrass group that peaked the bluegrass charts at number 2 by 2010. Stapleton would leave the band and switch to southern rock, ultimately pursuing a solo career in 2013.

The Magic Never Stops

While Stapleton was racking up his impressive list of song credits with major acts, he was also building his own impressive list of accomplishments as an artist. In 2015 his first solo album was released, earning him three CMAs that year, and things have been moving fast ever since. Whether it’s fantastically popular duets written with and performed by him and his wife Morgane, or collaborations with superstars like Justin Timberlake, Christ Stapleton’s career has gone stratospheric with no signs of slowing down.

You don’t want to miss this amazing talent when he comes to your neck of the woods. Chris Stapleton is the real deal, and catching him in concert will be the time of your life!
