About Riverbend Music Center

Riverbend Music Center

The Riverbend Music Center is an outdoor concert venue located on the outskirts of Cincinnati on the banks of the Ohio River. The outdoor amphitheater is officially called J. Ralph Corbett Pavillion and has been open since 1984, although multiple renovations have been performed to keep it looking relatively new. The Riverbend Music Center is used primarily by the Cincinnati Sympathy Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, as the two groups use it to play summer concerts. However, the venue has also hosted other artists and music festivals, including Lilith Faith and Lollapalooza.

Where are the Best Places to Sit at the Riverbend Music Center

For Riverbend Music Center concerts, the best seats will usually be found in the pit and lower pavilion. Those seated in sections 200, 500, and 800 will also have a straight-ahead view of the stage and performer. Even if you can’t get seats close to the stage, the sections further back in the pavilion have clear views and unobstructed sightlines to the stage. Finally, keep in mind that there are only about 6,000 reserved seats at the Riverbend Music Center with most guests watching performances from the lawn, which can hold over 14,000 people.

Tips for Visiting the Riverbend Music Center

If you’re planning a visit to the Riverbend Music Center, keep in mind that the amphitheater is part of a larger complex that’s highlighted by Coney Island, a water park that’s appealing to people of all ages. There are also other music venues nearby in PNC Pavilion and Moonlite Gardens, as well as a horse-racing track and casino called Belterra Park. In short, there are enough attractions around Riverbend Music Center to turn a trip to a concert into a mini-vacation.

Foods to Try at the Riverbend Music Center

It’s prohibited to bring your own food and drink into the Riverbend Music Center. However, there are food and beverage vendors located all around the lawn area. There are also several restaurants within the Coney Island complex to visit before or after a concert. Skyline Chili has a location that’s a short walk from the concert venue. There is also a Burger Brothers and Market Buffet located near Belterra Park, a short distance from the Riverbend Music Center.
